In 1957 Tang Yong Sau (Tolerant Long Life), with the help of his wife opened the shop in one of the oldest parts of Amsterdam, selling Chinese arts and crafts. Not long thereafter, due to demand from the growing Chinese population in the Netherlands, Chinese foodstuff became part of the selection of goods that were sold. In 1972, his son and his son’s wife took over the business.

Over the years the shop steadily grew bigger and so did the selection of the products that were offered. We now have more than 6 floors and several showrooms filled with products from the Orient. We sell foodstuff, kitchenware, ceramics, furniture, books and restaurant decoration material amongst other products through retail and wholesale.

Our customers come to us from all over Europe, be it shopkeepers, restaurant owners or just plain normal people. They come to us, because we offer them great service and the biggest selection of products from the East.
